Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Did not finish book. Stopped at 41%.
When I started this book, I assumed that this book was called “a fairy tale for grown-ups” because it would discuss adult topics and issues or the main character would be an adult. Instead, we follow first the story of an 18 year old, then a 16 year old and the only “grown-up” content was the language and a couple of sex scenes. Both of these threw me out of the story, first because I couldn’t decide if I found the writing style charming or annoying with the amount of descriptors provided. Second, the fact that sex was quite often discussed or described while the two main characters were teens felt very wrong and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the rest of the book was somewhat interesting, but didn’t hook me enough to make me ignore the major issues with it.
