The second to last chapter of this book is the most wild twist of any book I’ve ever read. Its hundreds of pages of the same situations (and its wonderful) that are austen-like in their domesticity. And then boom… he reminds you that you’re reading dostoevsky through either a truth bomb or an act of violence
