The Bell in the Fog is the second book in the Evander Mills mysteries, and it has some characters from the first one, but a whole host of new characters is brought in. We see Andy having to solve two different cases both with deadly consequences if he doesn't figure them out in time. This book is far more high stakes because of the mysteries he is solving and it makes it so much more fast-paced and intense. I was on the edge of my seat needing to know who did it and why they seemed to have targeted Andy who didn't seem to have any connection to them. Rosen did such a good job of balancing the mystery and the friendships in this book.

Highly recommend this series, and I cannot wait to read the third book that comes out later this year!
