Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
4.0
This book is one I really enjoyed. The writing style is wonderful with the chapters flowing in a way they should be and very limited on repeating information throughout the book. It also adds insight after each chapter with communications from other people in the book in a device they call a Codex.
This book took you on a ride through what could have happened if things were different. Shows how knowledge really is power and by limiting access to said knowledge people can be, in a way, guided how government or in this case, The Library, wants it to be. It wasn't a book that was easily guessable in terms of what will happen and I would recommend this to others.
The only reason, for me, it's not a full 5 is because I think there could've been a bit more character development on some characters that will obviously be going onto other books. However I do know it's entirely possible the other books in the series will get into that. So I will be picking up the rest soon!
