After Londyn is sexually assaulted, her and Stacie get closer than ever and open up to the possibility of becoming more than best friends. I know this is a friends-to-lovers story but their lack of boundaries and obliviousness to the abnormality of it for most of the book was almost comical. It was so obvious that it felt like lazy writing. They both did things in opposition of their best interests that served as plot fillers–her withholding details of her attack, him dealing with a toxic ex. This was a surface-level read, and I would’ve DNF’d if it hadn’t been a short read.
Graphic: Rape, Torture, Violence, Blood, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Chronic illness, Death, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual content, and Grief
Minor: Gun violence, Infidelity, Abortion, and Pregnancy
