I really enjoyed the feeling and the atmosphere throughout the entire book. I have never read a book before that totally encompasses the feel of a film noir, the grittiness, the ruthlessness, and the cynic characters. Everything from the characters to the descriptions of people's voices, movements, and outfits embroidered the noir feel. Steller, this has a 4 star instead of a 5 just as some of the interaction strayed into 'silly/over dramatic' territory, suitable for a play or screen but in a book, it pulled you from the story.
