Prom & Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg
5.0
This used to be one of my favorite books! I still love it, but I want to let some time pass so I can forget the amazing plot twist at the end.
I love that Lizzie is a scholarship student and is roommates with Jane for two reasons.
1). Jane is even more of a saint because it's not sisterly bond that compels her to be nice to Lizzie, it's just her good nature
2). We don't have to interact much with the annoying Lydia or Mrs. Bennett
The Mr. Darcy in this is extremely swoon-worthy and totally charming. I love the change of making Lizzie an accomplished pianist rather than not being particularly skillful in anything.
And the plot twist! Finding out Claudia Reynolds was Darcy's mom made me gasp out loud! It was such a fun twist and made Darcy even cooler. It also highlighted how Darcy and Lizzie would have common ground beyond just irking one another or bickering.
