This is certainly not an Agatha Cristie mystery. But it is a great new adult thriller book. I have seen the movie in the 90's so it was great to re-visit something familiar yet different, it's not the slasher/horror genre of the film so try not to be disappointed. It was also great to get a different perspective, in the movie I remember concentrating on the killer and the 4 main characters as the victims. However, in the book, you see the 4 main characters as selfish, scared teenagers who are desperate to hide their secrets, but eventually, their conscience wakes up, this book often focuses more on their victim and his family. Overall it was enjoyable, fast-paced and interesting.
