If nothing else, this book really did make me laugh out loud at times. It’s a very lighthearted diary of a 13 year old boy going through the trials and tribulations of growing up, whether that be his parents splitting up, getting a girlfriend, or making friends with a pensioner.
The book is told through the lens of someone completely ignorant to the situation but in such a hilarious way. It really does paint the candid picture of the state of the UK and the ridiculousness of teenagers at times.
It was a fun read and I would consider going on to some of the later books in the series too. Not too bad!
