I don’t recommend listening to this on audiobook, the narrator’s were very monotone and since this is about teenagers it set a weird tone for the book. There are also a lot of text messages that don’t translate well through audio.
However, this was a really cute story. YA and academic rivals are not my go to tropes in books, but Talia knows how to write an amazing story that keeps you hooked. Celine is someone who knows exactly what she wants out of life, very driven, and who doesn’t love a good conspiracy theory. Brad felt the most relatable in this story with his anxieties, OCD, and him trying to figure out what he wants for his future. This book also feels exactly what it felt like in high school when thinking about college and dealing with relationships and the pressures of being a teenager. I kinda wish there was an epilogue about their future in college, but this was still a super cute rom com.
