"i pay attention to the language of things in this world that don't use words."

sweet bean paste is book about troubles and finding comfort in the small things. i got sucked into the story and the subtle frienship of tokue and sentaro, and my mind didn't want to leave the novel behind. the whole reason behind the book has me thinking the most: 'what is my reason in life?' it's a hard question to answer and takes often a long life to come to a conclusion. and most of the time, one that is left unanswered.

the author writes this book is a captivating way that you just want  to finish the book. but also leaves you with questions that only you can answer afterwards. questions that will require some thinking about certain things in life, but also things that you never thought of before. the art of listening to things in this world that don't use words, while most of them also have a story to tell.

this is a book for you if you love to think about certain parts in life that you probably only briefly thought of before. but also, if you are one who enjoys being sucked into a world that can hit close to home. at least, i have found one of my new favourites.
