I had heard so many mixed reviews of this book so I didn’t really know what to expect going in. I actually liked it a lot. I was itching to find out what actually happened and why she killed her husband. The early excerpts of her diary confused me even more because she seemed to truly love him. One thing I had heard about this book was that the twist was “totally predictable”. Well maybe I’m just stupid but I did NOT see that coming at all?? I actually gasped when it was revealed. And then suddenly everything made sense. I will absolutely be re-reading it to see all the clues I missed. I do hate the way Alicia’s story ended. She had no one in her life that was truly in her corner. I want to give her a hug. I also definitely could have gone without the in-depth beginnings of Kathy and Theo’s love story. I’m not sure if we were ever supposed to like Kathy, but I didn’t.
