Reading a very dense and academic read about "subversion" is an interesting paradox. Jack Zipes's thorough research dazzles (as it always does). Sometimes the rabbit holes he pulls us down into feels a little too deep and possibly distracting, but in the end, he always manages to pull us back up into the light of understanding the connections he is making. Zipes is unparalleled in his research and as a fellow nerd, I am in awe.
