“Loving your best friend is the most amazing thing in the world. And it’s also the scariest.”

What a complete difference you get from one book to the next.
Quinn is very different in this book but also not in a way. There was that peek at who Quinn really was in book 1 when things got rough but other than that we didn’t get the full real Quinn.
Being a part of the Crimson Club series this fits but it also doesn’t. It could be a complete stand alone all by itself, Quinn & Tristan are completely separate as they should be.

Quinn & Tristan becoming friends was something they both least expected but embraced it fully. Becoming each other’s best friends is what made this one suck me in.
As their relationship went from friends to best friends to lovers you get that slow burn that is sometimes just what is needed.
Quinn was the comfort to Tristan that he desperately needed. Tristan was the calm that Quinn needed. They both balanced each other out in the most practical & beautiful way.
Leo was the added bonus to their story, although we don’t see him much he is the reason this friendship begins so he has his well placed spot here too!
