The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
5.0
Would recommend: Yes
As the first Amy Tan book I have ever read, I was completely struck by how right-on she was about how Chinese immigrants talk and behave. I felt as though I was reading my mother's experiences with her mother; reading Tan's books has brought me closer to my mom in an indirect way and I really appreciate that. I waited far too long to read this book.
