The ending?! I’m in shock, shaking with tears in my eyes. I need a third book immediately, I need to know what happens next.
I really enjoyed reading this book, even though there were times when I found Verity too naive and childish for an eighteen year old, I also can see why she was this way. First time being away home and falling love with the first man she encountered. While I didn’t see the connection between them in the beginning, towards the end their relationship developed which I enjoyed to read about.
The writing style like in the first book was mesmerizingly beautiful. Erin’s description and magical and clever approach captivated me. There was so many incredible twists in this novel and scenes where I’ve had goosebumps.
I highly recommend reading this novel even if you haven’t read the first book. I’ve read that one over a year ago but this wasn’t necessarily connected to that one. It can definitely be read as a standalone since it was so different.
