Really enjoyed reading this... until I got to the afterward and realized that they were taped conversations transcribed. I mean, MJ did go over everything and add more detail but I would have liked to know that in the beginning. Otherwise, a good read but perhaps sadder now because we know how his life eventually ends. In 1988, he was truly a different person. It's distressing to see how that changed, as his celebrity grew.
