This was a recommendation from a coworker and not something I would’ve ever chosen myself–a pity read. Survivor’s guilt and a promise to protect had Danny going back and forth with Ari right up to the overdramatic cliffhanger. The whole storyline was cringy, and the writing was amateur with laughable medical inaccuracies. The biggest ick was the constant contrasting mentions of her being a delicate 5’1” virgin and him being a toxic 6’6” bad boy (who was 10 years her senior). I’m refraining from assigning a numerical rating, because it’d be brutal.
