Counting the Cost by Jill Duggar

2.0

Ugggg I feel like she wrote this too soon. I like reading about how she has unlearned A LOT of her religious trauma but you can read between the lines that she is still very in it. She left the 'umbrella' of her abusive father (call it what you want but he conned her, used her for free labor and turned against her for a nose ring but not his son for CP so yeah. that's abuse in my eyes) just to find another man to tell her what to think. I hope that her eyes continue to open, and she rereads this one day realizing all the abuse she is still accepting in her life. I did love Derek though, go off for finally asking at least some questions about the world around you. Jim Bob deserves to catch charges AND THESE HANDS.

also she read the audiobook and it was so bad. She attempts a British accent, and I think it might have been a hate crime it was so bad.
