I think by the 1/3 point most people could see the ending of this (or some version of it coming): but that does not make it any less enjoyable.

The book has fires, mysterious wooden cutouts, unexplained deaths, and hints of witchcraft. It follows 3 timelines, which were done very well even though it took me a little bit at the beginning to get into the swing of it. This is a multi-timeline done right, and I loved the pacing. I could feel the tension growing with each chapter and jump in time, and honestly didn’t want it to end but needed to know what happened.

There were multiple layers to the tension, both with the honestly terrifying figures and the fact that the women in the story were just routinely ignored and their concerns dismissed. Fantastic little spooky thriller.
