Look, if you want a juicy memoir filled with lots of messy action then this is the book for you. I wasn't necessarily a fan prior to reading but she is nothing if not intriguing and I'd heard her book was a ride. And it was. I really have a soft spot for women who take things that are supposed to "ruin" them and turn it to their advantage. I listened to the audiobook, which I prefer if the memoir/autobiography writer is the one reading it. This bitch has been through it and is tough as nails. Three cheers for surviving and (hopefully now) thriving after all the trauma, abuse, and addiction.

Every time she talked about running the hair dryer to drown out noise/fighting/yelling, I just wanted to go back in time and give her some earphones or earbuds.

I'm not even going to attempt to list all the content warnings, please read through them though if there are subjects that affect you because there's a lot of abuse, addiction, abandonment, drug use.
