And that's it. I've finally caught up. This isn't the end of the series - the next book is out in a few months, but reading this novella series over the course of the year has made me so attached to the characters, and the world feels so familiar now.
This book really starts to answer a lot of questions we might have, an establish the rules of the worlds. Sumi starts to come to the forefront as a main character after Jack has left, and Cora finally starts to understand what is holding her back from finding her door.
This still feels like we're nearing the end of this series, which I hope isn't true, because there's characters I'm really hoping for better endings for, and characters that haven't yet quite found their place. I'm so ready for the next book.
