Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto

5.0

There is a delightful children’s book called Can We Give The Police Department to the Grandmothers, and this felt like an adult version of that book.

A body is found in Vera Wong’s tea shop, and unsatisfied with the police investigation, Vera takes it upon herself to solve the crime. Along the way, she makes a family out of her growing list of suspects.

If you love nosy grandmas-turned-amateur-sleuths, found family and delicious descriptions of food, this is the book for you.

(My only nit is that Vera is only 60, but is written as a woman closer to 80.)
