I really enjoyed this book and I will continue reading the series. Both the main male and female characters (the police officers) were very well crafted and complex. We had the immediate dilemma of are the police ever justified in breaking the law? As well as an interesting murder and surrounding stories that turn out to be somewhat connected. I was intrigued from the start and it held my interest all the way through. I never felt that the pace of the plot drifted in any way. It was a really good police procedural crime novel. Bravo.
