A really audacious undertaking for a debut novel. A really deft hand is required to make a narrative style like this anything but a nightmare to try and read. I liken the scope of the narrative to Faulkner (Sound and the Fury) in that it's delivered in a way that can be confusing... but in the end it absolutely lends to the reality of the story.
