This book will stay with me for along time. I listened on audio and it was 30 hours long. It's a multigenerational family story and interweaves several families. This book is beautifully written, even through so much heartache. It's clear that the author researched extensively and is writing from a deep well of knowledge. One thing that I would have found helpful is a family tree. I did find the one that's in the book, but it's on list form, and for me it didn't show all of the interconnections and generations as well.
