I can honestly say that I read a wide variety of genres but I have never really been interested in romance. To be fair, and for research for a book I'm writing, I dove in. The first two books in the genre I read were great, and I was like I've been missing out, but then I read this book. The text was full of mistakes and the further I read (and this was a short book) the worse the mistakes got. Additionally, this book is not for any woman who does not think they are property. The "she is mine" references were uncomfortable. This seems to be an example of what I thought romance was and why haven't picked up until now. HARD pass. (pun intended)
