Black Women, Black Love: America's War on African American Marriage by Dianne M. Stewart
challenging
2.0
This book holds some similarities to Is Marriage for White People? because of statistics but is highly skewed to the plight of Black men and attempts to tie in the lack of Black love to systemic racism. This book gave big pick-me energy and was basically a literary representation of the Oppression Olympics. This book should’ve been titled Black MEN, Black Love because the female audience was an afterthought. (Each of the five chapters are the length of a novelette, so I had to tandem read with the eBook and audio at 2.5x in order to not DNF.)
