I loved this book. Really, really loved it.
The way the world building was done was truly brilliant. We were thrown into a world that’s our world (but not). We just slowly learn the eccentricities of the library and the librarians, and the significance of their existence.
This book is full of fantastical talking animals, physics-bending buildings, superhero-like abilities, time manipulation, and more; but even with all that going on, it never felt convoluted. Everything had its reasoning for being included, and nothing truly felt just haphazardly thrown in.
Easily my favorite read of the year so far, and upon reflection, will likely make my all time favorite list.
