I don't think I can explain how much I loved this book! It just checked all the right boxes for me - funny, a little dark, romantic, introspective, and centered on grief. It all felt so personal, too. The way the book is framed by and keeps circling back to the death of Casey's mother was so beautiful and relatable. How things from her everyday life would bring out memories of her mother, both good and bad. I loved following Casey's journey, the way she stayed at her job because she needed the community and hectic pace there just to stay afloat, and then how she spirals out when that gets shaken up and changed. I really enjoyed the development of all of the relationships, both romantic and platonic - I genuinely would have been interested to see her end up with either of her love interests, because they were both interesting relationships. And every character was someone I wanted the book to spend even MORE time with - Oscar, the kids, Silas, Muriel, Harry, Mary Hand, everyone. I loved this!!
