Yet another book with themes of loss that I wasn’t expecting and am having a hard time processing in this time.
A character-driven book that spans two decades and would typically make me emotional but just read as turning pages as we grieve.
This book is similar to The Interestings and other friendship stories with an element of performance and the intertwining, ever-connected relationships between those who spend so much time together. There were certainly musical references that I didn’t follow and characters I didn’t fully connect to, but a well-done novel, particularly a debut.
