This is clearly one of the best fantasy series ever written. The tandem order with ToD matched up perfectly where there’s a bit of added context to some things happening. But so many things happened, and I can barely wrap my head around it.

It is so cool to finally see aelin calling in all the favors as the book progresses. Assassin’s blade was 100% required reading for the tandem read. I love that she has a complete return to her full sass in this book too, not that she ever lost it but now she’s just in full control of all the tricks and twists in her strategic planning.

Elide and Lorcan… oh man. The character development is wild. This book made me feel so MANY emotions. Omg. That marshes scene when elide finally makes it to aelin has to be the best so far. Everything about the fae dudes is wild as you’re reading ToD and finding out Maeve’s true self. We knew it was toxic, but damn.
