Predictable but good. Cross is like Michael Jordan before he became a basketball legend, and Gensie is the pretty tomboy who comes into his orbit bringing stability. Good friends before lovers vibes with an emotionally intelligent MMC that reminded me of another one of my favorite reads, Love In The Outfield by Kaylyn. The scene where he reassures her and talks her through it…perfection.
