Are We Nearly There Yet? by Lucy Vine

4.0

A laugh-out-loud read that has you hooked from beginning to end! I am sure my fellow commuters were annoyed with my laughter but I could not help it. Alice is hilarious with a witty attitude and a genuine demeanour but it is her hot mess vibes that had me in stitches. I loved reading about her adventures, but I loved the mishaps, miscommunications and misunderstandings even more. The ability that Lucy has to incorporate popular references into the story makes the book even more enjoyable to read. Lucy's talent is showcased in this book, especially when it came to Alice's travel blog and Hannah's family newsletters. I thoroughly enjoy books that are centred around family and how messed up families can be at times but at the end of the day they are family and no one can replace them. This book captures the ups-and-downs of family perfectly giving me the feels for sure! This book is a perfect pick-me-up and will definitely pick up Lucy's other books for sure!
