Pieces of You by Ella Harper
5.0
This book is hopeful, tragic, heart wrenching, and absolutely not what I expected! Make sure that you have not only a tissue nearby when reading this story, but an entire box.
Lucy and Luke are viewed as a perfect couple, to everyone including themselves. Lucy and Luke are no strangers to tragedy, they've been through countless miscarriages and IVF treatments, but always seem to become stronger as a couple on the other side. When tragedy strikes and Luke is in a coma, Lucy's world is turned upside down. Just when she thinks that things can't get any worse, they do!
While I usually struggle with cheaters in books, Ella Harper wrote this book in such a way that you're able to forgive the characters. From the very beginning of the book I found myself emotionally involved with Lucy and what she was going through. The book was written from the POV of several of the main characters and gives you a full scope of not only the situation currently taking place but the feelings and insecurities that are also occurring.
While there were parts of this book that were a tad predictable, I absolutely did not see the ending coming. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the emotional release that came with it. Ella Harper made me grieve along with her characters, which is what made this a spectacular book.
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion*
