Circe by Madeline Miller
4.0
this was really enjoyable! i liked it more than SoA, Miller’s writing style seems to have developed (she didn’t say gesture nearly as much.) i definitely don’t think this novel is for everyone, it’s more of a character study than an exercise in plot, but you know i fall hard for a good character. i loved the descriptions of witchcraft, the setting felt slightly above average in terms of development, and i felt more and more connected to and sympathetic towards Circe over time. this was nice and refreshing to speed through, but not exceptional or an all-time fav. just pretty good!
