This is the second book in the Hades series, one of those series that has to be read to fully get the story. All three of the first books do end in cliffhangers, but there is an HEA at the end of the last book. There's also a connected series, which means that some characters that are main characters over there pop up here. I started in the wrong spot by creating with Hades, but I still really enjoyed these books. I want to go back and read Madison Kate at some point and then The Guild, a series that comes after Hades. But I'm just so curious about the rest of this interconnected universe. But in this book, things are just getting kicked off. They are trying to learn more about Lucas, he has a lot of secrets that are coming to light. We get to see more of Persephone's temper tantrums. The sisters get into a big fight and Zed is like you just need to tell her the truth because Hayden sheltered her from their father and the real criminal life that she lives. Cass is finally accepting his feelings, but all of this time, we are getting more pressure from law enforcement; Hades is getting stalked and threatened, and Zed is trying to help, but at the same time, he's refusing to give in to his feelings. It's just a mess. Then we end in a cliffhanger!
