I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver

This is a really emotional, but sweet, story and the non-binary rep is so well written. I think a lot of young adults will deeply relate to and love this story of Ben, an artistically talented non-binary teen navigating a new school after they come out to their parents and are immediately thrown out of their home.

Nathan is such a great parallel to to Ben, he's more outgoing and spontaneous with strong ADHD energy and I loved him immediately. Ben's sister stepped up immediately, and I liked that it showed complicated family dynamics in a really realistic way and I enjoyed seeing them connect over the course of the story.

I did think this story was just a little too slow for me, as not much happens over the course of the story, the focus being Ben finding themself and deciding what they want to do with their future. I'm just growing out of this style of YA, but I would have loved it when I was younger. A strong recommendation for Heartstopper fans though.
