This book is beautifully written. I listened to the audiobook and Tom Hanks is a fantastic narrator. I love these fascinating glimpses into the lives or ordinary people. None of us are ordinary though; not really. The house is such a dominating force in the narrative. All of it comes together to paint a portrait of a family that is torn apart and pulled together in so many ways. I just loved it!
