The Brothers of Copper Pass by Cynthia Hickey
Included in Audible Plus.
DNF.
I struggled with the 3rd person constantly shifting perspectives. One sentence would be from the h, the next from the "bad guy", the next from H. It was kind of confusing.
My biggest issue and what kept me from finishing even the first story was the narration. This was my first time listening to Anna Wheeler. While she does some differentiating of voices and emotions, it didn't always work with Hickey's writing. This is set in Montana. 90% of the characters are from Montana. Wheeler has a distinctly North Eastern US accent (New Yorkish?). It's discordant.
Additionally, the men's voices leaned toward sounding like they are intoxicated.
