I've read this before and listened to it before and find myself going back to it each time I hit a reading slump. The narrator (Cherry Jones) is absolutely fantastic and the story itself is funny, inspiring, and beautifully written. You'll want to wrap your arms around Opal and run away with Winn-Dixie.
