Goodbye Trey by Audrey Ravine

5.0

Another new to me author and what a great story to start with.
When you usually read romance you think that only the female character is the one who suffers the most after a heartbreak or a divorce but in this book we get to see and experience the heartbreak and pain of Trey, an ex-marine that his wife left him while he was on duty and after six years he is still single and is looking for anything serious or love. Destiny has his own plan as always and when his sister is having her wedding, he is the one who has to give her and meet his ex as well because she is his sister's best friend still. He doesn't want to go alone or show anyone that he is still suffering so when one of his friends recommend him one of his friends with benefits, Jena, he is head over heels for her and without even knowing they get to be friends and start building a more than friends relation.
I cried and felt so sad for each one of them at times because the author has a way with her words that explain and show so well their tremolo and suffering and you just can't stop putting the book down because you really want to read till the end and see how this story will play with all the layers discovered and revealed with each page.

A story full of angst, love, lust and sexy moments, dreams and memories, where love has always the last word in the end.
