How to even begin. The story starts with so much tragedy, sadness, and abuse but transforms into something else entirely. I love the friendship between Shug and Celine. May we all have someone in our lives the way those two had each other. The characters show so much growth as people throughout their lives as they learn to live and forgive each other. It’s such a beautiful story. The end of this book made me so happy as well as I was not expecting a happy ending one bit. I was smiling from ear to ear by the end. This book brings so much hope.
