I wanted to read the Ruthless Knight so this one for me was more of a necessity. Initially i wanted to give it only two stars but I added another one because of the small irony of the situation. I’ve been thinking of rereading the Bully by Penelope Douglas and now, having read the Cruel Prince (to be honest, the title of the book kinda feels like a betrayal to the Folk of the Air series - my absolute favourite, but it’s just a personal preference), i can say that in some way i did reread the Bully. Because this book is just 90% the same.
It’s not anyone’s fault I read the Bully first but similarities felt weird and almost completely deprived me from enjoying the book.
