The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
5.0
I absolutely loved this book, i loved the characters, i loved the writing style and the story in general. I laughed so much with this book, i think both Hazel and Agustus were hilarious and i loved their relationship, i always laughed when they were talking.
I read this book so fast and i didn't felt the time passing, it was like in a minute i was starting to read it and the next i was ending it, it was quite an amazing book. I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning: Hazel, Agustus and Isaac were specially perfect.
I think this book was so good, because it's so realistic, in the sense, that the author it's not trying to sugarcoat the situation. He is not giving us a happy ending, Isaac lost his eyes, Agustus died, and Hazel is gonna die. He is showing us the reality of cancer, which is that most people die from it.
The only think i am not completly happy with, is the ending because i wanted to know what happened to Hazel and i feel like the author left us like Peter van Houten left Hazel and Agustus with the end of An Imperial Affliction, because he didn't tell us how long Hazel survive, i mean, when did she die?, he did not tell us either if her parents kept their promises, if they stayed together, if her mother became a social worker, if isaac's cancer came back or if he stayed healthy. But at the same time even with an inconclusive ending, i feel like Hazel did ,about An Imperial Affliction, i wish to know what happened after the last line but i still think this was an incredible book, a piece of art.
