still trying to process lucy saying josh broke her and crying bc her date called her beautiful. i mean… josh spends the rest of the book saying and showing he actually thinks she’s beautiful but idk that scene made me very uncomfortable

and even though it makes sense for her to act very “””dependent””” on his opinion of her appearance bc its something she didn’t think he’d say, that’s another thing that kept me from really rooting for them

and i don’t like lucy, josh or how every single chapter has multiple mentions of her height like omg we get it, she is freaking short !!!!!

anyway imo the movie was better but i still didn’t connect with the story/romance (but i did like lucy, yay!)
