The Caretaker by C.P. Harris
5.0
“Who takes care of the caretaker?”
This one hurt but it hurt in the best way.
I laughed and smiled so big until I wasn't anymore.
Heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time.
I have never highlighted so much.. 132 highlights later we are here.
Noon & Solace held me captive until the very end and I wanted more.
I never expected this story to be what it came out to be but I am glad it did.
A story of second chances & finding yourself in a different way but ultimately it is still you in the end. The pain that comes from this book is unmatched and I felt every bit of it.
You never can expect things to change so rapidly but when they do it sets your world topsy turvy, in this case they had each other. Until they didn't.
This book is filled with things that most shy away from but that's what makes this book so damn good. I knew going into this that I would sweat from my eyes, that my chest would hurt and that I would be smiling too.
"He’d asked me to take him. To accept all of him. So I did, and I always would."
Oh is this one spicy, phew is it downright filthy but also tender in its own way.
Noon had me all kinds of flustered cause, damn that man.
I love all the things about these two and this book.
The photography aspect was spot on.
The tender & care that they have for each other.
The heart breaking truth.
The loss that each suffers.
The possessiveness for each other.
Just simply Noon & Solace, they make this book.
Definitely worth the wait for this book since meeting Noon in The Fishermen. We get to see everyone again in this book but the focus is Noon & Solace.
Will we get more for this series? Gavin maybe?
