A Line to Kill by Anthony Horowitz
2.0
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the others in the series. I think the novelty of what is essentially a self-insert fic (in fan fiction) has kind of worn off a bit. I would have given it 2.5 if I could. I think my main issue with it is that the writer/narrator/author comes across as a bit smug in this one. Which would be fine as unlikeable characters are not necessarily a barrier to my enjoyment of the book but I think because almost all the characters were unlikeable, it made the book a bit of a slog. I also guessed the killer early on and thought some of the mis-direction was really clumsy.
I will probably read the rest of the series but I won't go into them as excited as I was before.
