beautiful world, where are you is definitely a lot more mature than sally rooney's other two books but that's honestly what makes it so good.

it took me some time to warm up to the email chapters but I ended up loving them so much more than expected. I will admit though, they're a bit hit or miss especially in the earlier chapters of the book. but i thought that rooney mentioned so many interesting ideas and thoughts in these emails that i really found  myself resonating with.

the characters in this are all so well written in my opinion that you really understand all of them and their motivations despite some of them being quite different. I connected with the characters and the relationships in this on a very deep level, a  feeling i also loved when reading normal people.
i can’t even really pick a favourite between the four because all of them had different characteristics that i could really relate to. but even the parts i didn't relate to were so well written and created such a clear picture if every charcter.

overall probably sally rooney's best book so i would 100% recommend this especially if it's your first book by her
