Fullmetal Alchemist: Fullmetal Edition, Vol. 7 by Hiromu Arakawa

adventurous dark emotional funny lighthearted mysterious fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Loveable characters? Yes

5.0

This was another amazing volume imo, I continue to immensely love how Arakawa draws facial expression, or how she sets up her panels/scenes, and her use of shading as well - so many scenes stick in my mind because of her artistry.
One part where this really stood out was when Hohenheim and Edward encounter each other after 10 years, and Hohenheim just looks so damn sad being around his son - and already being very familiar with this story, Hohenheim just breaks my heart AGH. Also Alphonse coming to terms with that he might have a shortened life span :( or Hawkeye's reaction after shooting Lust... it's all so well written/drawn.
